The New Legacy Control

Well, it's been a long time coming, but the new site design for Legacy Control is live! This fresh coat of paint (along with numerous other tweaks and features along the way) are brought to you by me, the web designer, developer, and 'web ninja' at LC. Like it or not, I'd say it's vast improvement both visually and functionally. But don't take my word for it... check it out! And read the comic while you're there. Seriously. That's what it's there for.

Along with the new eye-candy, comes some potential word-candy in the form of LC's new Control Freaks blog. This editorial/blog resides at legacy-control.com/control-freaks. You can learn all about it from its inaugural post.

For those who aren't familiar, Legacy Control is a relatively new (well, more like 2 years old) webcomic about video games and other geek culture. No sense in a long-winded intro -- just visit the site: legacy-control.com

Thanks for Sharing: A Guide to Facebook Statuses

A lot of things about Facebook have changed (for better or for worse) since its inception. One of the staples of the Facebook experience, the status update, has developed over the years, but not entirely because of Mark Zuckerberg’s attempts to turn Facebook into a Twitter clone. Yea, gone are the times of simple status update suggestions like “___ is tired”. Statuses commonly fall into one or more of these categories.

Firefox Personas

For those of you who haven't heard, Firefox has released a new light-weight skin add-on, called Personas.

You can download the add-on here.

This add-on allows you to easily apply any skin from a gallery. Best of all, you'll have access to some great (and some not so great) user created skins. Don't like any of the ones in the gallery? Well, you can always create your own Personas by setting up a designer account. Enjoy.

(Note: The default Firefox theme must be applied before the personas will show up.)

Update: It seems it now works with all themes (some better than others).
